A Repair Cafe is a free, community event where people bring broken items and work alongside volunteers to repair them. It’s about reducing waste, sharing skills, and bringing people together through hands-on learning.
No, the Helping Hands Repair Café is FREE to attend. If your item requires specific parts, you will be responsible for providing them. Donations are always appreciated to help cover costs like snacks and coffee, and we’re grateful for your support.
It is at the First Plymouth UCC Church on the corner of Hampden Ave and Colorado Blvd. You can find the location here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/sxqeLGzTTbwJykUy6.
No, everyone is welcome at the Helping Hands Repair Cafe. Your religious affiliations or beliefs are not a factor—this is a community space open to all, rooted in connection, learning, and helping one another through repair and keep items out of the landfill.
Yes, First Plymouth Church has a large parking lot. Parking is free for all guests.
Registration is encouraged so we can plan, but walk-ins are welcome as space allows. You can register items by clicking here.
You can bring small household items like clothing, jewelry, small appliances, electronics, bikes, and more. If you are unsure, please complete the form and someone will follow-up with you about your specific item.
Not everything can be repaired, but our volunteers will do their best. Even if it can’t be fixed, you’ll leave knowing more about your item and your options.
Repairs vary. Some take a few minutes, others take longer. Plan to stay and be part of the process. Light refreshments and good community vibes will be available throughout the day.

We recommend bringing 1 -3 items per visit so we can help as many people as possible. Please complete the form and a volunteer will follow-up with more information on your item requests.
